More than $100,000 in equipment was reportedly stolen from the Manatee Conservation Trust in Manzanilla.

The Conservation Trust, a non-profit organisation that promotes conservation of the leatherback sea turtle and the West Indian manatee, is now seeking the public’s assistance in finding those responsible for the theft.

The equipment was being used to carry out works at its facility.

The Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago confirmed that several items, including a Honda exclusive customised hand-held auger, two ten-plate batteries, a wheelbarrow, a diesel hand pump, 450 Stihl bushwhacker, a power saw and a Stihl mist blower.
